How to Learn Spanish in San Fransisco

Posted by zoe | Learn To Speak Spanish |

San Fransisco is a fantastic US city to learn Spanish in, whatever your reasons for learning – work or pleasure. The biggest Argentinean community in the US makes San Fransisco its home, and many other native Spanish speaking communities from all over the world. And Spanish students in the city don’t have any trouble finding the opportunity to practise their new language!

If you’d like to learn in a Spanish School, here are some reputable Spanih schools in San Francisco: Habla San Francisco (415.699.6986) www.hablasf.com, Bay Area Bilingual (415.438.0046) www.bayareabilingual.com or ABC Languages San Francisco (415 738-7383) www.abclanguagesf.com.

However, it is not necessarily the best way to learn Spanish by gong to classes – the classes are often overcrowded and the pace of the lessons slows down to accommodate the worst students, and you don’t get much personal teacher-attention with 10 or 20 other students to compete with. If you think studying from the comfort of your own home might be better, there are some excellent home-study Spanish courses out there.

A home study Spanish course – Rocket Spanish – is the most popular of these home-study Spanish courses. I have written a review of this course, which you can read here: Click Here

Whichever way you choose to learn, the best thing you can do is find yourself a native-speaking Spanish conversation partner, to arrange regular meetings with to get good practise in speaking Spanish (and in english for them). Spanish Classes in Detroit

Posted by zoe | Learn To Speak Spanish |

If you’re going to learn Spanish in Detroit there are two routes you can take: you can visit a Spanish school in Detroit or you can learn in yoru own pace with a home-study Spanish course.

These are three of Detroit’s better Spanish schools: Language Trainers (1-866-85-54646) www.languagetrainers.com, Detroit Spanish School www.detroitspanishschool.com, Marygrove College (313 927-1363) www.marygrove.edu.

But in Detroit in recent years, home study Spanish courses have become more and more popular because they save you time and money and are a very effective method of learning – you can study in your own comfort at your own pace, in your bedroom, living room or car on the way to work, and you save the time it takes to travel across Detroit to a class 2 or 3 times a week.

An advantage to home study courses that many students find in Detroit is that classroom-based lessons always slow down to the pace of the slowest students, which is unfair on the stronger students but can’t be helped unles the school is very strict on students that don’t keep up, and removes the slowest (which not many schools are going to do!). Also in a classroom the teacher’s attention is divided between yourself and 10 or 20 other students.

Until recently there weren’t many options for peopel looking for home-study courses as an alternative to classroom-based Spanish lessons, But today there are some very good ones available. The most popular one is a course called rocket Spanish You can check this course out in detail here: Rocket Spanish Review

If you decide to learn Spanish in Detroit with one of the schools, call the school up before you pay for classes are ask them about the amount of individual attention students get, and how fast the pace of the classes are. If they can’t give you satisfactory answers, go to a different school. It’ll be worh it in the long run.

The Spanish Side of San Jose

Posted by zoe | Learn To Speak Spanish |

Spanish students have an easier time learning in San Jose than other cities in the USA because of the large number of native Spanish speakers in the San Jose population. Definitely take advantage of this when you study ad try to find yourself an ‘inter-cambio’ partner for regular Spanish conversation.

Having Spanish as a second language, to any degree, will help you compete in the very competitive San Jose job market, where the ebility to speak Spanish is becoming increasingly valued by employers.

If you haven’t decided how you’ll learngi Spanish in San Jose yet, you should certainly consider learning fro a good home-study course. There are some excellent Spanish home-study courses out there – Rocket Spanish is the best course I’ve found – that allow you to learn Spanish at a much quicker pace in your own comfort and time. Classroom-based Spanish classes slow down to the pace of the slowest students, which is unfair on the stronger students, Which is a problem many of the more serious students complain of in San Jose.

You can read a more detailed article on learing Spanish in San Jose here: Click Here

This is not fair to the more serious students who want to rapidly acquire a decent level in the language. Good home-study courses are an answer to this problem, they always allow students to progress in their Spanish at a muh faster rate.

Rocket Spanish is the best of these home-study courses out there. I’ve written a review of this course, you can check it out here: Rocket Spanish Review

If you don’t yet know San Jose well, San Jose is a huge city – the third largest in California, and the 10th largest in the whole of the USA. Often called The Capital of Silicon Valley, San Jose sits at the Southern end of the San Fransisco Bay area – Silicon Valley. It’s a terrifically exciting and active place to live in, and a great place to learn Spanish!

If you’ve decided to learn spanish theres still a few different ways in which to go about it.  Theres the more conventional classroom method such as evening classes, all the way through to learning, whilst relaxing comfortably at home.If like me, you get feaked out by the very thought of having to attend classes, especially when your working 9-5 too, or if you me 10pm-8am, then maybe you should consider learning spanish online.  This particular method of learning a language gives you the freedom, and control over your own schedule getting rid of the hassle of attending classes or wading through masses of books trying to figure it all out by yourself. So, you can rest assured that if you choose to learn spanish online then you’ll be in good company, as there’s litereraly hundreds and thousands of people just like you doing the same.  This method of learning has grown massively in popularity over the last few years mainly due to the reasons set out for you below. Spanish for beginners

Many online courses will provide you with free sample lessons

This is a great little free resource that you can use to help you decide if learning online is right for you. Most online courses wll allow you to download a good amount of material.
Usually many courses will offer you around a weeks worth of course materials.

Once you’ve recieved your free lessons and gone through the material you can decide whether the course is for you, and if not, well not an issue as theres no obligation and you get to keep the free lessons you recieved.

It was’nt too long ago that I sent off for some free sample lessons towards a french course from one of the well known language learning companies but what I got instead was, well rubbish, not so much free lessons as a free education on the company itself.  Great.!!  Seeing as the course itself was pretty damn costly, I was expecting them to at least try to win my custom by providing me with some valuable first lessons.  So when you think about it, its a completely risk free option.Learning by other methods such as classes would mean that if you decided that the course was’nt for you’d be out of pocket.

Learning Interactively through Audio

This is a proven way of effectively teaching a complete beginner the correct way to start speaking a new language.Trying to learn spanish by just reading and writing excersices alone is very boring to a lot of people, whereas learning through the aid of audio is widely recognised as much more affective as your brain is stimulated into rememering the information.  learning spanish can also be far more entertaining when taught this way.  Learning a language can be a bit of a bore for many and so being able to learn interactively with audio can only help.   Take a look at Ways of Learning Spanish

Affordability

As usual in life, most things, for most people will come down to how much it will cost.
Learning spanish online again scores very highly in this regard.
This is largely due to all the course materials being downloadable instead of them sending you tons of course books through the post, and this factor alone makes the courses very reasonably priced.

Quick to start and convenient to use

Another few big plusses here, I’m sure you’ll agree? The first plus would be your ability to download your course instantly, instead of waiting for i.t to arrive in the post.  You’ll be learning straight away within quite literaly minutes.  It really is that simple, as with online courses you’ll be able to instantly download the materials quickly and at your own convenience.

Secondly, you can learn, when you want, where you want, and if one day you cant be bothered, well theres always tommorrow right!!
There really are no limits to when and where you can learn. You can learn whenever you want, even if its in the middle of the night, the options yours.

The companys behind many of the online language courses are proving to be a real authority in the language field.  They offer it all; from convenience to cost and freedom to fun. If your certain that spanish is the language you wish to learn, you really should think about learning online.
