The Spanish Side of San Jose
Spanish students have an easier time learning in San Jose than other cities in the USA because of the large number of native Spanish speakers in the San Jose population. Definitely take advantage of this when you study ad try to find yourself an ‘inter-cambio’ partner for regular Spanish conversation.
Having Spanish as a second language, to any degree, will help you compete in the very competitive San Jose job market, where the ebility to speak Spanish is becoming increasingly valued by employers.
If you haven’t decided how you’ll learngi Spanish in San Jose yet, you should certainly consider learning fro a good home-study course. There are some excellent Spanish home-study courses out there – Rocket Spanish is the best course I’ve found – that allow you to learn Spanish at a much quicker pace in your own comfort and time. Classroom-based Spanish classes slow down to the pace of the slowest students, which is unfair on the stronger students, Which is a problem many of the more serious students complain of in San Jose.

This is not fair to the more serious students who want to rapidly acquire a decent level in the language. Good home-study courses are an answer to this problem, they always allow students to progress in their Spanish at a muh faster rate.

If you don’t yet know San Jose well, San Jose is a huge city – the third largest in California, and the 10th largest in the whole of the USA. Often called The Capital of Silicon Valley, San Jose sits at the Southern end of the San Fransisco Bay area – Silicon Valley. It’s a terrifically exciting and active place to live in, and a great place to learn Spanish!
