How to Learn Spanish in San Fransisco

Posted by zoe | Learn To Speak Spanish |

San Fransisco is a fantastic US city to learn Spanish in, whatever your reasons for learning – work or pleasure. The biggest Argentinean community in the US makes San Fransisco its home, and many other native Spanish speaking communities from all over the world. And Spanish students in the city don’t have any trouble finding the opportunity to practise their new language!

If you’d like to learn in a Spanish School, here are some reputable Spanih schools in San Francisco: Habla San Francisco (415.699.6986) www.hablasf.com, Bay Area Bilingual (415.438.0046) www.bayareabilingual.com or ABC Languages San Francisco (415 738-7383) www.abclanguagesf.com.

However, it is not necessarily the best way to learn Spanish by gong to classes – the classes are often overcrowded and the pace of the lessons slows down to accommodate the worst students, and you don’t get much personal teacher-attention with 10 or 20 other students to compete with. If you think studying from the comfort of your own home might be better, there are some excellent home-study Spanish courses out there.

A home study Spanish course – Rocket Spanish – is the most popular of these home-study Spanish courses. I have written a review of this course, which you can read here: Click Here

Whichever way you choose to learn, the best thing you can do is find yourself a native-speaking Spanish conversation partner, to arrange regular meetings with to get good practise in speaking Spanish (and in english for them).
