You could choose from a few different methods of learning Spanish in Philadelphia. One option is of course to go to shared classes in one of Philadelphia’s many Spanish schools, and the second option is a good home-study Spanish course.

Many students have found that in Philadelphia’s classroom-based Spanish lessons, the teachers have to divide their attention and time between lots of students and do not give that much personal attention to individual students. Also, classes inevitably slow down to the pace of the slowest students, which could be unfair on students who want to study at a faster pace. This situation is unfortunately unavoidably in Philadelphia’s Spanish academies as teachers have an obligation to give as much time and attention to each student as they need, and slower students need more time and attention.

If you do decide to study in one of Philadelphia’s Spanish academies, make sure that you choose a school which has a strict policy of keeping classes going at a good pace, which means making sure students study hard and removing any that don’t attend or can’t keep up.

Your other option is to study Spanish using a good home-study course. Just as there are plenty of good Spanish academies in Philadelphia there are also plenty of very high quality home-study courses. The home-study courses save you money and time travelling to and from classes, as you could learn in the comfort of your own home. You can study in the comfort of your own home, or practise on your way to work in the mornings!
